Company Equipment Tax Write-Offs - Savings Every Business Owner Needs To Be Aware Of

Some of the machines that offices, manufacturers, and distributors require in order to function can cost tens of thousands of dollars. In addition to the expense of the machines themselves, annual maintenance and operational fees accumulate, costing thousands more to the company. Owners should be aware of the tax exemptions and benefits that are available with the purchase of industrial machines.

Like most professions, accounting has its own language. Fortunately, "reveneebrew" is not as difficult to translate as some other sub-cultural dialects. Companies basically have two options when it comes to writing off equipment: a one-time expensing under IRS section 179 or depreciating the amount over a designated period of time. There are pro and cons associated with both, but ultimately, the total sum of a company's equipment spending per year should determine which option fits it best.

Section 179 of the official IRS code of exasperation, intended to confuse people into submission, outlines the maximum amount of money that can be exempted for resource buying in any given year. For example, if a company purchases a $30,000 machine, according to section 179, it can write the full amount of the machine off of its taxable income for that year, but only once for that particular machine. This rule applies to any qualified equipment purchase or purchases of up to $250,000. If a company's yearly budget does not generally entail heavy spending but it needs to upgrade old or incorporate new machinery all at once, it should examine the one-time deduction that section 179 offers. Maintenance and operational expenditures are not included in the $250,000 limit and can and ought to be documented every year for additional tax savings.

The other option is to depreciate the cost of the machine over a designated period of time. Again, suppose a business buys a machine for $30,000. Rather than receiving the total IRS allowance immediately, the business can elect to distribute the price of the machine over five years, for example, of write-offs. For a $30,000 item, the IRS will not adjust the buyers' taxes as though they were reporting $6000 per year. Instead, the first year would be more like $10,000 (estimated) and decrease in value for the subsequent four years. This option is especially beneficial to companies that spend large sums of money on their apparatus year after year. As with section 179, choosing to depreciate purchases does not include the costs of maintenance and operation. The degrees of these factors should always be considered before purchasing a high-capacity machine Additionally, for purchases online, sales tax is not required.

Travel With the New Tumi Luggage

One of the most popular premium lines of luggage has updated their collection. We all know the airlines have become very strict on the weight of baggage. They are charging for cases that weigh more that the maximum they allow. Many are charging for cases over fifty pounds. You will need to check with the airline you are using, because the different carriers have different rules and regulations. Frequent flyers have been requesting lighter weight bags from the premium manufacturers. And now Tumi luggage is now lighter weight because of improved materials, construction and overall design. Because many of the older pieces of luggage were heavier, this is a problem for anyone who does not wish to pay a surcharge. Luggage manufacturers have been trying to comply with these new regulations and offer the consumer the same good quality but with less weight. Of course, Tumi is still offering their custom designed components. This makes their new Alpha line more reliable, durable and highly functional.

There are other improvements as well for the busy travelers. The styles are less structured and more comfortable to hold. There's luxurious leather trim throughout each and every design. Each piece of luggage comes with a TSA combination lock. This is the only lock permitted at US airports. TSA security personnel have a master key that will open the lock. This way they can open your bag if it is deemed necessary.

Each bag also has the leather monogram rectangular plaque sewn on the front of the bag. Your bag can be monogrammed for a permanent way of identification. Monograms are not easily removed, and are a great way to say, "that's my bag!" at busy airport and train terminals. No one can claim that is their bag, when the initials do not match. This is an important feature because almost all of the airports do not check baggage claim receipts on the way out of the airport. Many bags do look alike, and monogramming provides you with instant and permanent identification.

We are aware that over three million bags are lost in transit every year. Some may be left in hotels and taxis. Many cannot be returned because they lack proper identification. Each piece of Tumi luggage has it's own leather identification tag where your name and address can be placed inside. These buckle on to the bag securely. Tumi also offers their Tracer program to reunite you with your lost luggage. Each bag has a unique 20-digit individual product registration number printed on a special metal plate that is permanently affixed to every bag. Once you register your product with the Tracer program, it is entered into their database with your name and address. When the person who finds your lost bag calls the free worldwide collection hotline number, Tumi will get a hold of you and provide you with information on how you can arrange for the bags return. This luggage has been designed for style and incorporates advances in technology that creates the perfect bag for the busy executive and frequent traveler.

33 Travel Safety Tips

Traveling to unfamiliar destinations can bring to you the sort of troubles you do not want to experience while on the road namely: robbery, rape, or murder. Tourists often fall prey to perpetrators because they do not prepare properly before embarking on a trip. Let's examine some things you should do to prevent your travels from becoming a tragedy:

1. Never list your home address on the luggage tag. If on business, put the company's address on the tag; if visiting friends you can list their address. Use covered luggage tags as well.

2. Stay with your luggage until the luggage is checked. If you must put your bag down, keep one foot on the handle.

3. Carry important papers with you; NEVER check anything that you simply cannot afford to lose. Photocopy your passport, driver's license and credit cards.

4. Bring a small flashlight. You never know when you'll suddenly be "in the dark" and find yourself in unfamiliar surroundings. At night, keep your flashlight by your bed.

5. Make sure that your prescription medicines are filled properly and labeled accurately. In some countries certain prescription medicines are forbidden.

6. Never wear anything that projects affluence. No gold chains, expensive watches and rings, luggage, or other paraphernalia should be in easy view. Better yet: leave your jewelry at home.

7. If possible travel with only one or two credit cards.

8. Women particularly should never accept a drink from a stranger. Keep an eye on your drink at all times.

9. Vary your schedule; try not to come and go at the same time everyday.

10. Only stay in a hotel that uses cards to open room doors and make sure your room has a peephole and a deadbolt lock. Secure the chain and secure the door by pushing a rubber stop under it.

11. Stay in a room near a stairwell. Never take the elevator if a fire or smoke is detected. Always stay in a hotel where the doors enter the hallway and not directly from the outside.

12. Do not wear name tags in public.

13. Do not use unmarked taxi cabs.

14. Sit behind the driver so you can see him, but he cannot see you.

15. Pay the driver upon arriving at your destination and while you are still sitting in the vehicle.

16. If you must rent a car, rent only from a reputable company. Any operating problems that occur could signal sabotage.

17. Be aware of 'staged' car accidents meant to catch you off card.

18. Back into your parking spaces to facilitate a quick exit.

19. Park only in well lit and well traveled areas.

20. If your cell phone does not work outside of the country, consider renting one that does for the duration of your trip.

21. If detained for whatever reason by an official, ask for identification. If in doubt, tell them that you want to see his superior. Keep your emotions in check.

22. If traveling with children, bring along an updated photograph of each child in the event that you become separated from them.

23. Write your child's name and your hotel number on each card; include a close friend's or relative's contact information on the card. Give a card to each child which they will carry with them as long as you are away. Destroy once home.

24. Discuss with your family what they would do in event of an emergency while away from home, e.g. whom to call, how to contact emergency personnel, etc.

25. Do not discuss travel plans, your room number or any other personal information in public within earshot of strangers.

26. Bring along a basic first aid kit with bandages, iodine, mosquito repellant, sunscreen, alcohol packets, dramamine, pepto bismol, diarrhea medicine, etc.

27. Familiarize yourself with train and bus schedules before traveling. Have an alternate plan in place in the event your transportation plans change.

28. Do not flash your passport in public. Discreetly show important documents to officials only.

29. Consider purchasing portable alarms that emit a loud sound.

30. Watch for scams on the street. Children working with adults are notorious as pickpockets.

31. Never flash your money in public. Exchange funds with reputable and recognized exchangers only.

32. Have tips ready in advance for service personnel.

33. Consider renting an escort [security] service if traveling in areas where crime is high.

The key to safe traveling in any area is situational awareness. Distractions because of luggage, children, hotel personnel, strangers, etc. can put you at risk. Know your surroundings and stay in control of every situation.

Why Choose a Caravanning Holiday?

Caravanning is becoming more and more popular with over 35,000* new caravans registered in the UK in 2007 and it's no wonder with all the benefits of a caravanning holiday.

If you're thinking about purchasing a touring caravan for the first time, but wonder whether caravanning is really for you, then read on to see why so many people take caravanning holidays every year in the UK.

Caravanning provides the freedom to choose your destination at a moment's notice, and, with your home from home attached; you can guarantee your accommodation is up to scratch! There are thousands of caravan and camping sites to choose from all over the UK, from quiet adult only sites to child friendly, family-oriented sites. There's bound to be a wealth of sites to cater for your needs.

For families on a budget, a caravan holiday provides a cheaper alternative to package deals abroad and for the retired, wanting a more relaxed way of life, avoiding the chaos of airports is a perfect excuse to hitch up that tourer!

With growing concern over global warming and our carbon footprint, caravanning is also a greener way to travel compared to flying with up to 50% less CO2 emissions per person** from the average towcar and caravan combination. So not only can you protect your bank balance with a caravanning holiday, but you can also help to protect the environment at the same time.

The British tourism industry can also benefit with many caravanning holidays being taken in the UK, bringing a much-needed income to local communities and helping to preserve our heritage. We can often forget about the great places to visit on our own doorstep, so why not take the opportunity to explore that Britain has to offer this summer?

Before you set off, don't forget to make sure your caravan is loaded correctly, the tyres are in good condition and you have valid insurance for your caravan especially if you are going abroad.

Thailand Travel Insurance

You've booked your flight, made reservations at the hotel, got someone to bring in the mail and watch the dogs, what about the travel insurance? I know what you're thinking, "I'm only going for two weeks", "I'll be fine I'm in great shape", "other people get sick on vacation, not me", but what if you're wrong?

Thailand is known for being a bargain for westerners. Cheap clothes, food, hotels, entertainment, even the hospitals and clinics are cheap compared to the west and with some of the best doctors in the world. Contrary to what some people may believe Thailand has excellent health care. Even though Thailand is cheaper than the west in almost every category if you wind up in the hospital for a week or two it's still going to cost you and it will be more than you bargained for.

If you need some stitches or you pick up a bad case of pink eye then a clinic can patch you up easily and the cost will be minimal...around 700 Baht - 1200 Baht ($20-$30) and thats including all the medicine you'll need to take for whatever length of time. But if you have seriously problems and are admitted to a hospital then the bills start to rack up. Hospital room, medicine, diagnostics, and so on. Then you could be looking at 30,000 baht and up...you do the math.

Whereas travel insurance won't be much help for the minor ailments it will certainly be worth the cost if something major comes up. On average for a two week trip most travel insurance will cost you $20-$30 which isn't much in the grand scheme of things. That amount will usually cover major medical, flights to your home country if it's decided thats the best place for you, and most even have an added bonus that if you're hospitalized for a week or longer they will have a family member flown to you.

Travel insurance can also cover trip cancellations, lost luggage, and a change in travel plans depending on what options you choose. You may not have a great vacation if you get sick but if you have to pay for it out of pocket as well then it's sure to be a memorable trip and not for the right reasons.

I'm writing this because I came down with acute tonsillitis on my first trip to Thailand. Luckily a few trips to the clinic got me back into shape but it could have been bad and I wouldn't have been covered as I didn't even think about insurance.

The flight to Thailand is a long one if you live in the states (17 hours non stop from JFK International) Which will have you nice and dehydrated if you don't drink a lot of water. The temperature in Thailand is HOT which can and will dehydrate you further if you don't take care. Foreign food, foreign microbes, burning the candle at both ends, endless sight seeing, and a host of other things can and will come back to haunt you if you don't take care. Even if you do take care to prevent sickness there is always the unexpected and in Thailand that could be anything from an over amorous elephant, a motorcycle taxi running you over and a host of other things just waiting for you around the next corner.

You may have great insurance in your home country but in most cases they won't cover you overseas.

Find a good travel insurance and buy it for your trip no matter where you're going or for how long!

Discount Disney Tickets - Myth Or Reality?

Walt Disney world is one of the biggest tourist attractions of the world. Each year millions of tourists from around the world visit Orlando Florida for family vacation. The visit to Disney World is one time opportunity for most of us, so we all try to make most out of the Disney World Vacation.

Disney tickets are available through many sellers. The official Disney website is the first source which comes to mind for the Disney tickets. Although most reliable, the ticket prices on the website are not what attracts bargain hunters. Internet has made it possible for everyone to search for any information anytime and Disney world tickets are not left out. Just search for term Disney tickets on any search engine and you get bombarded with websites claiming to provide discount Disney tickets. All the sites look attractive in what they offer but there is a chance that some of these sites might not be legitimate. So be careful in selecting the seller.

One of the best ways to check if the website is authentic is by checking security certificate for the website. Since it's an ecommerce website, it will be have that displayed to make buyers fell secure for the transaction. Usually these certificates are issued by companies like VeriSign which guarantee that the transaction is secured. Another great way to check is by searching for website reviews. People like us post their experiences with different websites and those can be easily searched on any search engine.

More recently sources like eBay and craigslist have come up and anyone can access these websites and start o sell anything they want to on them. Search eBay and you will find hundreds of listings for Disney tickets. Same goes for craigslist. The fact is that although they might be legitimate, you can never be sure of them. Number of cases of eBay frauds have come up recently and this goes to show that these resources can't be trusted for buying Disney tickets They will have attractive prices but issue of trust will always be there.

So to sum it up we can say that family vacation at Disney parks is an important event and planning ahead is a necessity for enjoying and making most out of the visit.

Cruise Electronics And Connectivity

If you are like us, we love our electronic gadgets and frankly can't live without the notion that we MUST be able to CONNECT anywhere anytime!!! Even when we are suppose to be leisurely and relaxing on vacation! Not to worry, most all Cruise Ships today have wireless internet cafe access and some Cruise Lines have Internet connectivity from your stateroom. If you will be using the Internet Cafes ("cyber cafes") there are charges that vary with each Cruise Line anywhere from $.35 per minute to sometimes $3.00 per minute.

If you plan to use the Internet a lot it might be best to check with your Cruise Line to see what Internet use packages they could offer you. In addition, your cruise sometimes offers their own personal at-sea e-mail addresses for you to use. However they often charge for this! It's best of course to access your own email account through the Internet. The good news is (if you can wait!) is to use the many off board port cyber cafes while you sip on a cup of coffee.

There are an increasing number of guests bringing their own laptops, however on your Cruise Ship there will be just designated wireless areas which are limited to two or three places like the pool, or a certain lounge. Dial-up is still offered in your private cabin from certain lines on Celebrity, Crystal and Holland America. One line in Carnival called, Carnival Valor now offers wireless connectivity ANYWHERE on the ship. In this case you can even rent one of their laptops for $20.00 a day or as we mentioned, bring your own. You can see where this is leading. Pretty soon, without a doubt all Cruise Lines will be offering the same endless wireless connectivity. How could they not?

Cruise Lines are realizing at this very moment that there is a huge desire for Internet connectivity and prices are becoming extremely competitive with Princess Cruises at this time offering just $.35 per minute for use in their cyber cafes.

We have gathered current rates from just a few of the major Cruise Lines (source themselves) for you to get an idea of what to expect and also to allow you to see how important this is to check out while in the planning stages of your first cruise:

Disney Cruise Lines: On the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder lines there are eight-station Internet areas. Guests can email, get the latest weather reports and news and more. The "Stack" on the Disney Magic and the "Aloft" on Disney Wonder.... kids from ages 13 to 17 can chat on their own stations. The rates are 75 cents per minute, or $40.00 to $90.00 for three to four night UNLIMITED to seven night UNLIMITED access.

Royal Caribbean Voyager and Radiance Lines: On these lines the Internet rate in their Cyber cages is $ .25 per minute. However the wonderful news is there is Internet access in each private stateroom. Here are some quoted rates: $70.00 for a 4-5 day cruise, $100.00 for a week's cruise and $130.00 for up to ten day sailings. Their Internet Cafe rate is $ .50 per minute for 12 to 24 terminals.

Windstar: On their Wind Spirit and Wind Star their is e-mail availability only. Prices for outgoing e-mail can run from $7.50 (for up to 5,000 characters). Incoming e-mails, hand delivered to one's stateroom can cost $5.00 per message and $5.00 per file attachment! However on their Wind Surf Line there is a business center with eight computers. The rate here is $1.00 per minute or you can get a package for $55.00 for 100 minutes or $100.00 for 250 minutes.

Calling Home: Most all ships offer telephones in your own cabin. If for some reason your cabin does not have a phone which is almost unheard of these days then you could use the ships radio phone to connect you however this could be quite expensive. So why even bother with in cabin phones or ship phones which both are expensive when you can bring your cell phone! Cell rates will vary depending where in the world you are and will of course be reflected by International roaming rates. Once in port, your cell rates convert to area-specific roaming rates. Faxing is offered from most all cruise lines.

Learn before you launch which Adaptor Plug Sets,EuroSurges, Voltage Converter .. and all that fun stuff that you might really appreciate having while cruising.Your Cruise Director will be happy to inform you before you sail just what on board connectivity is available to you.

Please know that connectivity is becoming more and more state-of-the-art as we speak as people demand the best in communications. And that we will have!

How to Find Affordable Hotels For Your Vacation

When looking for a hotel for your vacation, there are things you can do to save money and get a good deal.

First, do plenty of research on the Internet to find an affordable hotel. There are numerous websites on the Internet that allow you to search for hotels and compare prices. If you will need airfare and a rental car, do an additional search for an all inclusive vacation package. It may be cheaper to purchase the hotel, airfare and rental car together.

Also, when searching for a hotel for your vacation, look for one that offers reward programs. Many hotels reward nights free after spending a certain number of nights in their hotel.

If you are planning to travel for a significant amount of time, look for hotels that cater to those who stay longer. Some offer fully equipped kitchens, laundry facilities and Wi-Fi Internet. This helps reduce the cost of food eaten at restaurants, allowing you to purchase food and make your own meals. As an alternative to a hotel, consider vacation home rentals. They tend to be cheaper and offer amenities like full kitchens as well.

Another one of the ways to save money on a hotel is to travel as a group. Consider going with parents, grown children, or friends. Get adjoining rooms instead of separate rooms to save money on the hotel.

If there are children and/or senior citizens traveling with you, mention that to the hotel. They are usually eligible for discounts and reduce the cost.

Some hotels offer complementary services, such as beverages or dining. Find out if the hotels you are looking into offer incentive programs that could help you save money on your trip.

Look for last minute travel deals on the Internet as well. Generally prices are cheaper if you plan far ahead and book in advance, but sometimes cheap rooms can be found at the last minute to save you money on the hotel.

It's possible to save money on your hotel and to find great deals. So try these ideas and have a wonderful vacation.

Singapore - Beyond Shopping

When visiting the island of Singapore, the leisure traveler immediately begins to think of shopping. While Singapore is a shopper's haven it isn't the only article on offer. Beyond the urban metropolitan feel of the city and the usual attractions of Sentosa Island, Singapore is also host to botanical rich venues as well.

The Singapore Botanic Gardens, for example offer a calm and soothing atmosphere in which to spend time with family and friends whilst learning about a variety of plant life. The lush green three hectare site is home to more than 1,000 species of orchids and 2,000 hybrids of orchids. The Gardens also feature numerous botanically related venues such as the Ginger Garden and the Evolution Garden in addition to three beautiful lakes.

Another excellent stop is the Singapore Zoo. The zoo offers a walk through the rich Singapore rainforests with chances to view its beauty and its inhabitants. The zoo is also home to acrobatic apes, white rhinos, zebras, giraffes, meerkats, lions, elephants, white tigers and even polar bears. In addition there are also several types of rides within the premises which include trams, horse carriage and other animal rides. With such a rich offering of life on display, visitors won't be disappointed.

Beyond the nature rich attractions you cannot afford to miss the world's largest observation wheel. Built with cutting edge technology, the wheel stands at a whopping 165m off the ground. Visitors can see sprawling views of Marina Bay, the City of Singapore and beyond. The view isn't the only thing on offer however. The Singapore Flyer has dining options in the form of several restaurants so that you can eat with family and friends whilst soaking in the magnificent view. The entire central atrium of the complex also features a rainforest which provides a serene environment to relax in.

Another venue you shouldn't miss is the Raffles Hotel Museum. The museum is situated in the Singapore luxury hotel of the same name and is based around the hotel and its beginnings during the Golden Age of Travel. In this time period Singapore was known as the 'Crossroads of the East'. Exhibits include memorabilia of Raffles Hotel, Singapore as well as the region during the period. In addition silver, china, postcards, letters and photographs from the hotel are also on display. Several 19th century photographs of Singapore and Southeast Asia are housed in the museum as well and represent an important historical documentation of early life in Singapore.

When in Singapore shopping will most likely have a role, however no matter what Singapore hotel you pick remember that there are variety of exciting venues out there to discover.

How to Weigh Your Luggage Conveniently Before You Travel

There are very few things less annoying than getting to the airport and finding out that you've got to pay an extra fee because your luggage is too heavy. And these days, with fuel prices being what they are, airlines are looking more than ever to make up for those extra expenses.

Of course when you're packing your luggage you really don't know how much you're packing, and we all know that our luggage is always twice as heavy on the way home (how does that happen?).

Obviously you need a solution to this problem and that solution could be something like the Balanzza Digital Luggage Scale. Many find this as a great investment because it can save you tons of money on extra fees at the airport.

This is a handy little tool that's completely portable so that you can weigh your luggage well ahead of time either at home or at the hotel before you leave. Again, no more guessing work!

It's really simple to use actually. You just use the strong straps and wrap them safely around the handle of your luggage. It'll read luggage up to 100 pounds (or 44 kg. if you use those measurements). After you've lifted it'll beep, you simply set it back down and then check out the very clear and accurate digital display. It's really as simple as that.

Now a lot of the luggage scales are very complicated and inaccurate. The Balanzza Luggage Scale is neither. It's extremely accurate and instead of using ineffective hooks for lifting, it uses strong sturdy straps so that you don't have to worry about the luggage slipping off of the scale. That actually can be very dangerous if you're a heavy packer. I certainly wouldn't want any luggage that my wife packs to fall on my foot.

It switches with a click of a button between kilograms to pounds so you don't have to sit there for 20 minutes trying to figure out what the silly luggage really weighs. One click and your on the one that's right for you.

Listen, you certainly don't want to be getting to the airport only to have to pay a surprise fee for your luggage. For people who travel often on discount airlines, we know how finicky they've become about enforcing their luggage regulations. Luggage scales help keep you from having to pay extra money at check-in. Then again, at a time like this when fuel prices are sky high each and every airline is beginning to be very finicky.

It's silly to take a change when for less than a lunch out with a friend you can get a product like the Balanzza Digital Luggage Scale and save yourself time and aggravation?

How To Avoid Gaining the Holiday 7

As the holidays approach, a frequent question from my clients and subscribers is "How can I avoid gaining weight during the holidays"? Their concern is legitimate. The average American adult gains seven pounds of fat between Thanksgiving and New Years Day.

However, with a little know-how and effort you don't have to be "average". In fact, I've seen many people actually lose a few pounds over the holidays and feel great while doing it.

One of my clients said it best, "Greg, I can't tell you how good it feels to have lost three pounds during the holidays instead of gaining ten pounds as I used to do. My friends are jealous. It's January 2nd and I'm feeling (and looking) lean and mean. And, best of all, I actually enjoyed the holidays more because I always felt energetic. In years past, inactivity and lots of food made me constantly sluggish and tired."

Here are a few tips that can bring you into the new year without any new pounds..

1. Do some type of exercise everyday, preferably every morning. Now this can be as simple as a 15 minute walk some days but it's VERY important that you do something everyday. Physiologically, this keeps your metabolism elevated, helps to control your appetite, and ENERGIZES you!

Mentally, daily exercise increases your mental acuity for hours after exercise, and it keeps you in a "healthy" frame of mind. Many people tell me that daily exercise helps them to make better food choices because it makes them feel like they are doing something healthy for themselves. Commit to doing at least 15 minutes, but preferably 30 to 60 minutes everyday during the holidays. I think you'll be surprised.

2. Don't deprive yourself of those holiday goodies that you enjoy. Tell yourself that you can eat whatever you'd like to as long as it's in moderation. For example, eat one Christmas brownie instead of five. Take small bites of that brownie, chew it well, savor every bite so you can really enjoy the taste rather than rushing to swallow it. The same for meals, don't deprive yourself of the foods you enjoy but eat them in moderation and savor every bite.

3. Have lots of "healthy" foods available at your home during the holidays. Make a big fruit salad to keep in the frig when you need a snack. Have some of your favorite veggies ready to eat for when you're hungry. Make a big salad and keep it ready to eat in the frig.

4. Don't allow yourself to get too hungry. The hungrier you are, the less control you have over your eating. Always eat some healthy, filling food before going to a party, dinner, or any situation where you will be exposed to lots of tempting food.

5. Strictly limit or avoid alcohol. Alcohol is really bad news!I call it the "triple whammy"! it depresses your metabolism, stimulates your appetite, and it's loaded with calories. Alcohol has as many calories per gram as fat!

So, get energized with some daily exercise and moderate food consumption, and REALLY enjoy the holidays.. AND January 2.

Disney Home Rentals - The Classy Way to Enjoy a Vacation at Disney World

If you are headed to Orlando and Disney World for your next vacation then I have a tip for you. Instead of staying in a hotel, you should get a Disney home rental, that is, a vacation home rental adjacent to Disney World. Vacation rentals combine great locations, incredible luxury and, believe it or not, a truly affordable price. In case you have never considered this accommodations option, I will guide you through the main features offered by Disney home rentals.

Hotels are nice, they are often luxurious but they are costly. In addition just think about it. At home you do not confine yourself to one or two rooms, so why do it on your vacation, when you are trying to relax? It is usually not a viable option to rent four or five rooms at a hotel but did you know that you can get a four bedroom, three bath home located ten minutes from Disney World starting at $130 per night?

The rental home I am talking about has a private pool, Jacuzi and spa. Other Disney home rentals have game rooms, DVD, Cable TV, full air conditioning, heating, fully equipped kitchens and all the furnishings that you need. Located in resort communities that are within 10-15 minutes from Disney World, these homes offer the best possible accommodations for an enjoyable vacation at Disney World and the other attractions of the Orlando area.

Just try to picture yourself in one of these homes. You can put your children in their own room or rooms and be certain that they will get a good night's rest. You can go out to the theme parks in the morning, and come back for a short meal and rest at mid day and then go out again refreshed for the afternoon. You can come back at home in the evening and enjoy a swim in your private pool or a barbeque with your family. It would be difficult or impossible to do these things in most hotels.

The great thing about all this is that you get luxury, comfort and convenience at an affordable price. You save on the cost of the accommodations and if you prepare some of your meals, instead of always eating out, then you will also have additional savings. If you want to enjoy your vacation or holiday with friends, relatives or a larger group then the savings are truly amazing.

For example you can rent a six bedroom home with 4.5 bathrooms and a screened private pool starting at $210 per night. This home is located in a resort community which is 3.5 miles from Disney World. If you are vacationing with a party of seven people, then the per person price is $30 a night. Is there any hotel that can match this? I don't think so. That's why Disney home rentals are the way to go when spend your vacation or holiday at Disney World and Orlando.

So, look around this site, choose the home that is best for you and make you reservation now. The best homes are often booked far in advance so it is good to plan ahead and get the best possible vacation home at a great price.

Why A Cruise Ship Wedding Is Fun For Everyone

A cruise ship wedding can be more fun than a traditional wedding. All cruise lines have different packages and rules for receptions and number of guests. The internet and your travel agent should have all the information about a wedding on a cruise ship for any particular cruise line. Not all the captains are licensed to marry you, but many lines will have a priest or rabbi or some other officiate that may provide these ceremonies. If you considering a cruise ship wedding, plan early so you will not be disappointed. Lots of cruise ships limit the number of ceremonies per cruise. Some of the Cruise Lines that offer cruise ship weddings are discussed below.

Princess Cruises has a wedding chapel where they perform the cruise ship weddings. The Grand Princess and her sister ships all have wedding chapels. Here the Captain is able to perform the ceremony. Wedding options start at $1400.00 per couple with receptions around $70-$80.00 per head. There will be hot and cold hors d oeuvres, drinks and an official marriage certificate, a cake and music. The ships photographer is available and the ships florist can design any arrangements that you have in mind. You can check out their packages on line. Click on the On Board link and then the wedding/special occasions link to get information on weddings on a cruise ship. They even supply you with a phone number for a wedding consultant. The Hearts and Minds Chapel is quite quaint and perfect for a wedding on a cruise ship.

A more upscale option is Crystal Cruise who will perform ceremonies for weddings, vow renewals or anniversaries. Your cruise ship wedding will be performed by the captain or a member of the clergy and includes Champagne, a Portrait, and a cake. They also have a Honeymoon Package with a cake, champagne, a picture and a certificate signed by the captain. I would discuss this one with your agent but of course you could check out their website.

Royal Caribbeans Voyager of the Seas has a wedding chapel and performs cruise ship weddings on the day of embarkation. Their wedding packages start at $800.00. They include flowers for bride and groom, a photo session, champagne and a cake. Go to their website to check out their options.

Carnival Cruises has shore side packages that are all inclusive. There will be a toast with keepsake flutes, a photograph, the wedding cake topper and an engraved announcement. You can also customize any extras for a fee. Talk to your travel agent, or, if you want to do some research on your own, go to the Carnival website.

After your cruise ship wedding take tons of pictures. Especially today with digital cameras, this helps to keep the cost of film and the film development down. Be sure to bring a lot of memory cards. Save stubs from tours you have taken, the invitation to the Captains Table for dinner, any notes you receive from the officers, the brochure that lists the itinerary, the dates of each port of call. You can make many beautiful well documented photo albums that will bring lots of smiles and many fond memories. It is highly recommend building a scrapbook from your trip; you will love it later when you pull it out and relive the experiences. It takes some time but is so worth it to have these pictures after your cruise ship wedding. On our honeymoon aboard the Volendam at the end of the cruise they supplied us with a beautiful menu from each dinner. On one side was the menu and on the other a beautiful scene from Holland.

All ships have a Newlyweds game. Go to it. It is fun and hopefully, you will only be a newlywed once. Participate in all the activities, they are a little bit corny but they do make you laugh. Let everyone know you have just had your cruise ship wedding, people love that. You might even get a few free drinks.

Honeymooning on a ship is a great way to kick back and relax after that year of stressful planning for the cruise ship wedding. It is now time to enjoy you and your spouse and the journey of a lifetime. Take advantage of your time together in a luxurious atmosphere. Have fun, meet new people, make new friends and be yourself, most of these people you will never see again.

Heres to a Bon Voyage, a wonderful cruise ship wedding and great honeymoon.

How Big is the Travel Industry and Cruise to Cash

Chances are, just about everyone you know is either planning a vacation or already has one planned. Everyone loves a good vacation now and then and many people take several vacations a year. The travel industry is a huge industry making an amazing 8.5 trillion dollars a year! With that much money being spent, it's a pretty safe assumption that getting into a business opportunity that involves travel is a safe bet, because the travel industry surely isn't going anywhere.

Of course, when a person plans a vacation they want the best amenities possible. Most people feel luxury vacations are the ultimate getaway, and plan their vacations according to what a location has to offer. The Cruise to Cash program realizes this, and takes this into consideration with their business opportunities.

Some of the most important necessities that people think gives them the ultimate vacation are access to 4 and 5 Star Hotels and 4 or 5 Star condominiums and resorts. When going on a cruise, people are looking for top of the line cruise opportunities and cheap flights to their cruise destination. They want quality rental cars at affordable prices and the ability to customize their vacations to ensure they are exactly what they want. They also want access to great family vacation packages that involve destinations and activities that their children will enjoy.

A company that is able to provide all of these things is guaranteed to do good business in the ever expanding travel industry. Those companies that are not able to offer these amenabilities to their customers are going to find it hard to do business and keep their heads above water. Even a company that is able to offer just a few of these accommodations to people will find the travel industry difficult to compete in, because there are so many travel companies out there that are doing what it takes to make sure they offer the best vacation packages and accommodations around.

As the travel industry continues to grow, so does CTC so that it can keep up with what people are wanting. Each year, the travel industry grows larger and larger with more travel destinations becoming popular and more luxury hotels and resorts being built.

It's safe to say that the travel industry isn't going anywhere anytime soon. People love their vacations and love to be able to get away from it all, and will find ways to continue to do so. So anyone involved with a business opportunity that is involved in the travel industry can be a successful venture due to the industries popularity.

Last Minute Tips for a Cruise

You may remember to bring the extra umbrella in case it rains while you are out sightseeing, but forget your rain boots. There is a whole host of situations that you can encounter during an extended stay on a cruise ship, so it is best to be prepared, but not pack so much that you feel overwhelmed by your luggage. Here are some key items that are very easily left out of a packing check list.

Did you remember extra batteries? Sure you have the camera, your travel alarm clock, your electric razor, and your portable compact disc player, but did you remember to bring extra batteries for all of those devices? Chances are that you did not. Make sure that you have plenty of batteries to support your electronics through the duration of your trip. You do not want to find that perfect shot only to find that the flash on your camera has died. If you are not sure that you have enough, pack more.

Did you bring enough medication for the whole trip? If you are on prescription medication, it can become such a second nature, that you take it for granted. Make sure you have an extra prescription packed in a separate bag in case your luggage gets lost. Also, make sure you pack a bottle before the day of your trip. You do not want to end up leaving your medicine on the bathroom sink and then be stuck on a deserted island with no pharmacy nearby and no way to get to the medication that you need.

Be sure to pack more than one bathing suit. You may want to alternate if you are going to be aboard the cruise for several days. Give one a day or two to dry while you wear another one. There is very little in this world worse than trying to get into a wet bathing suit. Also bring a couple of beach towels if you like larger ones. Much like hotels, cruise ship towels are bath sized towels, and if you want to lounge with them, you might want a larger towel on hand. Flip flops, sunglasses, and plenty of sunscreen are also essentials if you plan on spending a lot of time on deck.

Bring plenty of film and a notebook. While you want to enjoy your adventure, as opposed to spending all of your time documenting it, you want to be sure that you take plenty of pictures to show to your friends back home, and it might be fun to keep a personal record of all of the exciting things that you are doing, so that you have something to look back on and not just remember what you saw, but how you felt. That kind of record can be more valuable than any video or photo that you take.

BPO Companies - The Latest Business Trend

The world of business has dramatically changed and continues to rapidly change every single day. What we know today can only last for a few months or years, if we are lucky. What we know yesterday might as well be considered a thing of the past tomorrow. That is how fast the business world is changing. So companies all over the globe have to learn to adapt and do it fast.

Before, the business trend is to be a jack-of-all-trades. To be successful, a business has to have everything a client needs in one roof-a one-stop shop. And companies of olden times try to do just that.

Hire all the kinds of personnel they need for every department in their company. However, that is a thing of the past now. The economic market today requires specialization. Consumers want to have every product or service tailored to their particular need. Consumers don't want generic products anymore.

They want special treatment and the best of quality service they can get. So, having everything under a company's roof does not seem useful anymore. Keeping all business processes under one roof now proves not only to be costly but impractical as well.

This is because monitoring each and every one of them to ensure the best quality is served and tailored to every client need has become tedious and almost impossible. Keeping experts in-house is also proved to be expensive in the long run.

The need for specialization and focus on the company's real core business has spun the trend of hiring Business Process Outsourcing companies, or what is more popularly known as BPO. Business process outsourcing companies have now sprouted and proliferated in countries where labor cost is not so expensive, such as China, India and the Philippines, and lately, the Middle East.

BPO companies in these countries and region provide services to bigger, more often multi-national, companies that want to focus on their core business processes so they just delegate generic tasks, or processes that are of lesser importance, to outside provider or supplier of services.

The philosophy of companies these days is to "...do what they do best and outsource the rest." And it is a very sensible philosophy at that. And more and more companies are catching on it.

The list of services that are most commonly outsourced include, HR solutions, Accounting and Financial Services, Customer Care Services, Call Centers, IT Help Desk Services, Marketing tools and solutions, and other nitty-gritty details that most companies want to be free of.

These are necessary business processes-yes, that is true. However, companies now realize that it is more practical to delegate these tasks and focus on sales or production, or whatever their company is all about.

In India and Philippines, more and more BPO companies are establishing business centers in their territories, capitalizing on the affordable workforce cost and the abundant supply of highly-trained trained professionals. The Middle East has also become one of the newest hub for BPO companies for its multi-lingual populace and its strategic location, giving it a favorable time zone. Added attraction for this region is the possibilities for oil investments and business expansion opportunities.

In India, you can find the following successful business process outsourcing companies: Accenture; Convergys; HCL BPO; Genpact; GE India; IBM Daksh; TCS BPO; Transworks; Wipro BPO; and WNS Global Services. Meanwhile, the Philippines' list of BPO companies includes companies from the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan.

Bargain Package Holidays

A package holiday is defined one in which all of the components for a trip such as flight, hotel, and transportation are offered for 1 price. Tour operators are able to do this because they pre-purchase a number of flights and hotel rooms to sell throughout the year particularly at holiday times. Because operators are trying to make the most money during peak season, bargains for flights and hotels are not going to be as readily available as they would be during the off-times.

A good time to find a bargain on travel packages, especially last minute ones, is if the traveler is not too particular about a destination. If one is simply looking for a getaway, and the location does not matter as long as the price is right, then one may be able to find a number of last minute deals. If you are trying to get bargain packages for a particular time of year or destination then the availability of bargain packages are not as likely. A great place to start is with a travel club. Travel clubs provide great all-inclusive deals for members, which is a great money saver.

Tour operators make money on the optional extras offered with packages. Items such as excursions, insurance, and transportation at your destination provide a profit for the tour operator above the cost of the flight or hotel. Although the traveler may find better deals on the own, negotiating a price for the package may help provide a discount on the trip. The operator may even be willing to provide 1 of the extras at no cost as an incentive to purchase the package.

Generally, hotel accommodations are not the expensive part of the trip and you may find that booking a flight and hotel package is a better deal than only booking a flight on your own and reserving the lodging. At times, last minute travel packages are such a good bargain that you might find that booking the flight and hotel together saves money. If you are not happy with the hotel, you may be able to find a better hotel once you arrive at your destination. Some hotels designate your reservation "allocation on arrival," which means your room is selected when you arrive. Some tour companies offer an alternative option where you are notified of the resort, the type of hotel or the grade but you do not receive a room designation until after you arrive.

Travel Providers Strive to Meet the Needs of Disabled Travelers

For people with disabilities, the world of travel is broadening its scope to welcome and encourage those who, although physically challenged, are not being hindered by their disabilities. The U.S. Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) of 1986 prohibits airlines from discriminating on the basis on disability and affects accessibility features in terminals and aboard aircraft operated by U.S. and foreign airlines operating to, from and in the United States.

More than ever, travel providers are seeking ways to meet the needs of travelers with disabilities. Recently, Detroit's Northwest Airlines, Wayne County Airport Authority and Checker Sedan, the official luxury sedan service of Detroit Metro Airport, completed training sessions with staff from Leader Dogs for the Blind of Rochester. The group met specifically to learn how to meet the special needs of the blind and disabled when they're traveling.

"The Wayne County Airport Authority is totally in support of the efforts of Leader Dogs for the Blind to help our contractors and tenants - airlines and ground transportation providers - to be aware of the needs of the disabled," said Michael Conway, public affairs specialist at the airport. Positions, such as sky caps, who provide a high level of customer service and assist travelers, play key roles in helping travelers with disabilities reach their gates on time or receive the assistance they require.

Checker Sedan, which provides luxury sedan transportation at Detroit Metro, participated in the daylong session. The transportation provider has two converted vans with a portable ramp and wheelchair tie downs that can accommodate those who use power wheelchairs or wheelchairs that don't fold and won't fit in a vehicle's trunk.

"Our hope is that we can train these companies so they can be aware of what they are doing," Stafford said, "It's not hard at all to provide service to a disabled passenger; it's just a matter of information."

Some examples of disability etiquette include:

- Talk to the person, not to the person he or she is with.

- Call a person by name, not by a disability.

- Ask a disabled person if he or she needs help and how.

- Don't put a blind person in a wheelchair just "because it makes it easier for you to help them."

- Do not talk more loudly to blind people; their hearing is not impaired.

"Basically, you treat a person with a disability with respect and dignity as you would any other customer," said Stafford.

The hope is that a little basic information provided by Leader Dogs will go a long way. Travel providers usually find that travelers with disabilities appreciate the efforts of airports and companies who are familiar with the most beneficial ways to assist disabled passengers, if necessary. Those improvements not only make things better for disabled people, but can actually improve service for anyone.

Soave Enterprises is a privately held, Detroit-based company with holdings in dozens of companies. Its substantial financial and managerial resources bring strength to these entities. For more information, please visit http://www.soave.com
